Opportunity just knocked a little louder

An affordable degree starts with reasonably priced tuition, but doesn’t end there. At Strayer, we can help you find resources that make higher education easier to finance. We let you transfer credits from other institutions, provide information on financial aid opportunities and offer scholarships for students at all levels. Programs can be completed part-time or full-time, and do not require GMAT/GRE test scores or application fees.

Eligibility requirements:

  • You must be a new student registering to start any Strayer University master’s degree program in the fall 2020 term.
  • You must be a graduate of a Strayer University or Capella University bachelor’s program.
  • You, any immediate family member of yours, or household member of you may not be currently employed by Strayer University, Strayer’s parent company, or any other subsidiary of that parent company.
  • You must complete a course in your first term enrolled in the master’s degree program.
  • You must meet all Strayer University admissions requirements by program.
  • This scholarship may be combined with Graduation Fund, but cannot be combined with any other Strayer scholarships/tuition discounts.
  • The scholarship will be applied to your account in four equal disbursements of $1,000 during your second, third, fourth and fifth quarters after starting coursework in the program. If you do not complete a course during a term where the scholarship is disbursed, you forfeit the disbursement for that term.
  • No refund will be issued on unused scholarship amounts.
  • You must maintain good academic standing (defined as a GPA 3.0 or greater). Beginning with any quarter following the quarter you fail to maintain good academic standing, the scholarship’s disbursements will be forfeited until you return to good academic standing.
  • You must be in good financial standing with the University (defined as a $0 past due balance).
  • The scholarship applies to course tuition only. All other books and fees must be paid with a separate method of payment.
  • This scholarship does not include any Strayer University graduate programs offered through Degrees@Work, or Verizon Onsite.
  • In all cases, the scholarship if offered at Strayer’s discretion.

  • The student, any immediate family member of the student, or household member of the student may not be currently employed by the university, the university’s parent company, or any other subsidiary of the parent company.
  • The student must complete a course during the summer 2020 term.
  • The student must meet all Strayer University admissions requirements by program.
  • This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or tuition discounts.
  • This scholarship will be applied to the student’s account in six equal disbursements of $1,000 during the students first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth quarters after starting their coursework in the program. If a student does not complete a course during a quarter where the scholarship is disbursed, the student forfeits that disbursement.
  • No refund will be issued on unused scholarship amounts.
  • The student must maintain good academic standing (GPA 3.0 or greater). In any quarter following the quarter where a student fails to maintain good academic standing, disbursements will be forfeited until the student returns to good academic standing.
  • The student must be in good financial standing with the university ($0 past due balance).
  • This scholarship applies to course tuition only. All other books and fees must be paid with a separate method of payment.
  • For students whose tuition is billed to an employer or sponsor, the scholarship is applied first to tuition charges and then the sponsor is billed the net tuition amount (to the extent tuition benefits are available).

Referral Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a new student registering to start any Strayer University degree in the Fall 2020 term.
  • You, any immediate family member of yours, or household member of your may not be currently employed by Strayer University, the Strayer’s parent company, or any other subsidiary of that parent company.
  • You must be referred by a Strayer University student or alumni.
  • You must complete a course in your first term enrolled in the degree program.
  • You must meet all Strayer University admissions requirements by program.
  • This scholarship may be combined with other Strayer University scholarships and tuition discounts.
  • The scholarship will be applied as one disbursement of $500 during your second quarter. You will forfeit the scholarship if you do not complete a class in your second quarter.
  • You must maintain good academic standing (defined as a GPA 2.0 or greater for undergrad, 3.0 or greater for graduate) to be eligible for disbursement. If you fail to maintain good academic standing, the scholarship disbursement will be forfeited.
  • No refund will be issued on unused scholarship amounts.
  • You must be in good financial standing with the University (defined as a $0 past due balance).
  • The scholarship applies to course tuition only. All other books and fees must be paid with a separate method of payment.1
  • This scholarship does not include any Strayer University programs offered through Degrees@Work, or Verizon Onsite

This offer is not available to: (a) continuing students; (b) employees of Strategic Education, Inc. and its subsidiaries, and family members residing in the same household of such employees; or (c) students enrolled through Strayer@Work or Degrees@Work.

For all other students, a laptop is available only to Strayer University students who: (1) are a new or readmitted student in a Strayer University bachelor’s-level program; (2) have at least six courses to complete in their program; and (3) enroll for classes starting spring 2020 quarter or later. Students must complete three of their first four quarters of enrollment, or return the laptop to avoid a $350 charge.

This offer is subject to change at any time. Only one laptop will be provided per student. In the event the laptop is damaged, lost, stolen or incapacitated, Strayer will not provide a replacement. All returns subject to return policy.

Complete details are available in the bachelor’s laptop agreement or the bachelor’s laptop Verizon and Verizon Wireless loaner agreement, as applicable. Students receiving tuition assistance from Verizon or Verizon Wireless may only borrow and use a laptop subject to the terms of the bachelor’s laptop Verizon and Verizon Wireless loaner agreement. Limitations for other corporate-sponsored programs may also apply. Please contact your home campus or Strayer online for more information.

Eligibility requirements and other details

  • Books, supplies, and other fees apply.
  • Developmental courses (08X/090/091), transfer credits, courses completed prior to readmission, and courses passed by placement exam are excluded from this program and do not count toward earning tuition awards. Fund must be redeemed for final courses leading to the completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Successful completion means earning the grade required by the curriculum as outlined in the Strayer University catalog.
  • New or returning students enrolling in bachelor’s or master’s degrees (graduate students must be enrolled on or after summer 2020 quarter) are eligible. Some groups of students may not be eligible including, but not limited to: students enrolled in a non-degree program, certificate program, associate’s program, or JWMI program, any Strayer University employee (and employees of any of its affiliates or Strategic Education, Inc.) and their dependents, adjunct faculty and their dependents, or students enrolled through Degrees@Work.
  • Unless specified in another offer’s eligibility rules, you cannot combine the Graduation Fund with additional offers. Some of the offers that the Graduation Fund cannot be combined with include, but are not limited to: the Supplemental Assistance scholarship, the Experienced Student Completion scholarship, the Law Enforcement Tuition Assistance program or the Complete@Strayer Community College program.
  • Tuition credit is earned only after successfully completing courses and will be lost if you do not take courses for two consecutive quarters.
  • Students already receiving scholarship aid from Strayer University may not be eligible.
  • Students receiving tuition assistance from their employers through agreements with Strayer University may not be eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Readmit student registering for the summer 2020 term for any Strayer University undergraduate program. This scholarship does not include Degrees@work or Verizon Onsite. In all cases, the scholarship is at Strayer’s discretion.
  • The student, any immediate family member of the student, or household member of the student may not be currently employed by the university, the university’s parent company, or any other subsidiary of the parent company.
  • The student must complete a course in the summer 2020 term.
  • The student must have at least 27 credits (or credits equivalent to six classes) completed at or transferred into Strayer University.
  • Unofficial transcripts can be used for eligibility, but official transcripts are required to award the scholarship.
  • The scholarship credits will start in the term the official transcripts are received and evaluated.
  • The student must meet all Strayer University admissions requirements by program.
  • This scholarship may be combined with the Graduation Fund, but cannot be combined with any other scholarship/tuition discount.
  • This scholarship will be applied as a disbursement of $500 per course, as long as the student remains in attendance, until they reach Graduation Fund.
  • The student must maintain good academic standing (GPA 2.0 or greater). In any quarter following the quarter where a student fails to maintain good academic standing, disbursements will be cancelled until the student returns to good academic standing.
  • The student must be in good financial standing with the university ($0 past due balance).
  • The student must not take off more than two consecutive terms in order for subsequent installments of the scholarship to be awarded. In the event the student loses eligibility, they will not regain eligibility upon readmittance.
  • No refunds will be issued on unused scholarship dollars.
  • Scholarship applies to course tuition only, all other books and fees must be paid with a separate method of payment.
  • For students whose tuition is billed to an employer or sponsor, the scholarship is applied first to tuition charges and then the sponsor is billed the net tuition amount (to the extent tuition benefits are available).

Law Enforcement Professionals

Police officers, sheriffs, state troopers, rangers, or corrections officers who have completed a basic law enforcement training program may qualify for a special tuition rate of $750 per undergraduate course.

Active Duty Service Members and Veterans

Strayer participates in programs such as GoArmyEd, Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP), and Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC). We’re approved for veterans’ educational benefits and participate in the Yellow Ribbon program.
